Three Days. Connected Education. Practical Implementation.
The Disc Preservation Clinical Intensive serves as the Saturday clinical training experience within XCELL Learning Center's Implementation Weekend, an immersive three-day educational format designed to connect image-guided skills, pathology-focused clinical education, hands-on procedural training, and practice implementation.
ULTRASOUND INTENSIVE
Build the imaging foundation.
Build spine-relevant ultrasound skills through live-model scanning, anatomy identification, image optimization, and needle-visualization practice aligned with the weekend’s clinical focus.
CLINICAL INTENSIVE
Apply the skill clinically.
Move from patient selection and treatment strategy into PRP and Protein Concentrate science, processing, case discussion, and hands-on cadaveric procedural training.
BUSINESS INTENSIVE
Put it into practice.
Turn your clinical capability into an actionable plan for patient identification, consultation, practice strategy, and Monday-morning implementation.
A Full Weekend Built for Real-World Impact
Build the imaging foundation Friday. Apply it through clinical decision-making and procedural training Saturday. Then turn that capability into an actionable practice plan Sunday. Attend one day, or connect all three for the complete Implementation Weekend experience.
FRIDAY FEATURES
✓Live-model scanning
✓Diagnostic scanning protocols
✓Technique optimization
✓Anatomy and pathology correlation
✓Hands-on image acquisition

Christopher L. Robinson, MD, PhD
Christopher L. Robinson, MD, PhD is a physician-scientist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, specializing in regenerative medicine, drug discovery, and outcome prediction. He completed his fellowship in interventional pain medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and his anesthesiology residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, teaching hospitals of Harvard Medical School. He earned his dual MD/PhD degree through the Tri-Institutional Program at Weill Cornell Medical College, The Rockefeller University, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where his doctoral work contributed to groundbreaking antiviral drug discoveries alongside the recipient of the 2020 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Georgetown University.
Dr. Robinson currently directs the Massachusetts General Brigham–Harvard Pain and Headache Grand Rounds, serves as editor for 10 academic journals, and has authored more than 185 peer-reviewed publications, with primary contributions to the field of pain and regenerative medicine/longevity.
The webinar establishes the clinical foundation for Saturday's hands-on Clinical Intensive. Attendees arrive prepared to move beyond introductory concepts and focus on treatment strategy and procedural application.

Lead Faculty: Christopher L. Robinson, MD, PhD
- Differentiate discogenic pain from vertebrogenic, facet-mediated, sacroiliac, myofascial, and compressive radicular pain generators.
- Identify appropriate candidates for regenerative treatment of lumbar and thoracic disc disease using history, examination, imaging, prior treatment response, and exclusion of red flags.
- Develop biologic treatment algorithms for annular pathology and lumbar or thoracic radiculopathy while recognizing the limitations and heterogeneity of the available evidence.
- Apply comprehensive treatment-planning principles through the review of real-world clinical cases involving lumbar and thoracic disc pathology.
